Carl Genovese has enjoyed drawing and painting for nearly seventy years! Born in New York City in 1932, Carl works predominately in the medium of pen (crow quill) and ink, while still managing to produce scores of beautiful oil paintings. Carl was a member of the Art Student League in 1949; attended Orange Community College from 1950-52; Bethlehem Art School, Washingtonville, N.Y., in 1954; and a year later began doing layout and illustration work for a local paper company; followed by spot drawings for Ford Motor Company, E. I. DuPont Company and others. In the years that followed, Carl refined his skills as an artist and received over seventy awards in various art shows throughout Florida and the Northeast. On October 21, 1977 his work was shown on the NBC "Today Show." Presently his work can be found in many private and public collections. Now, at the age of 82, Carl lives in Hudson, NY and continues to be a very prolific artist.
